DOH, DSWD, USAID strengthen collab to end TB in Region 3

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, May 10 (PIA) Department of Health (DOH), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and USAID s TB Platforms signed a Memorandum of Agreement that will pave the way for a faster and effective Tuberculosis (TB) case detection, care, treatment and prevention in Central Luzon. This coalition shall work hand-in-hand in developing strategies in the successful implementation of TB programs at the community level, DOH Regional Director Corazon Flores said.
Under this partnership, Pantawid Pamilya parent leaders of DSWD will assist in the conduct of TB symptomatic screening among program beneficiaries during regular pay-out and family development sessions.
Tarlac, Zambales youth leaders commit in fight to end TB

TARLAC CITY, May 3 (PIA) About 30 youth leaders from the provinces of Tarlac and Zambales have committed to do their share in the fight to end Tuberculosis (TB) amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The pledge was made during the Kilos Kabataan Kontra TB at COVID-19 Virtual Forum organized by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development s TB Platforms Project (USAID s TB Platforms) and Army 3rdMechanized Infantry Battalion (3rd Mech). Attendees include alumni of the Youth Leadership Summit of 3rd Mech and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials.
