The fact that some bars and restaurants got nervous about their crowds last year over St. Patrick’s Day was one of the first signs that something serious was afoot in Nashville and beyond. So maybe partying at home this year again is still the proper play.
Fortunately, Black Abbey Brewing Co. has partnered with their friends at Jameson Irish Whiskey and Rhizome Productions to throw a bash on Saturday, March 13 that you can enjoy from the safety and comfort of your own couch. The brewers at BA have had a relationship with the master distillers at Jameson for quite a while now, releasing a series of beers aged in used whiskey casks and attending events together.

We knew it was likely that we wouldn’t be joyously rubbing shoulders under a packed tent anytime soon as part of the annual Winter Warmer beer festival, but organizers Rhizome Productions are working hard to make the best of a bad situation. Slated for Saturday, Feb. 13, from 2-4 p.m., this year’s online Winter Warmer will be a lot like the other virtual beer-tasting events that Rhizome has put on throughout the pandemic, but super-sized.
