Orland Park, Tinley Park and Palos Heights sho support for Daniel Golden, a Chicago police officer left paralyzed from the waist down following a shooting in Beverly.
Danny Golden, 31, has been getting an outpouring of love and well wishes from family, friends and a number of notable figures this week, which certainly helped him keep a smile on his face through these trying times, especially since doctors told him he was permanently paralyzed from the waist down and would never walk again.
“My son is very tough and strong. He will get through this,” Patrick Golden, father of Daniel Golden, the wounded officer, said Friday. “Seeing people out here today is so uplifting and incredible.”
According to Cook County prosecutors, a 22-year-old man fired 19 shots at a crowd of people outside Sean's Rhino Bar & Grill, 10330 S. Western Ave., striking a 31-year-old off-duty Chicago police officer in the back.
