This summer University of Maine Darling Marine Center based researcher Dr. Rhian Waller, a cold-water coral expert, will lead a NOAA Ocean Exploration’s 2021 expedition called North Atlantic Stepping Stones: New England and Corner Rise Seamounts.
TUNE in to an online reading of a new Christmas story penned by a Flintshire writer. After a bumping into an author in a bookshop, Teresa Carberry, the mayor of Mold, asked her to write a special Christmas story for the children of Flintshire. Normally, the advent period would be marked by a series of community events, including story readings for youngsters, but coronavirus made that impossible this year. Cllr Carberry said: A chance introduction in Mold Bookshop led to me meeting Rhian Waller and asking her if she would be able to write me a brand new story to read to the children (and adults!) of Mold at Christmas.
