The Rhallt Care Home on Salop Road was closed to visitors on Saturday and Sunday, despite designated visits now being permitted again after the Welsh Government eased lockdown restrictions on Friday. Swift action was taken at the home after a staff member tested positive for coronavirus and Public Health Wales was informed - leading to the decision not to allow visitors to the premises at the weekend. That staff member has since tested negative, and a spokesman for owner Barchester Healthcare has confirmed that all tests have now been returned negative and the home is able to re-open to designated visitors from today (Tuesday, March 16) in-line with homes in the with other homes in Wales.
