The Texas Blueberry Festival kicks off with the Blueberry Bluegrass Concert in the Park, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, June 10 at Festival Park in downtown Nacogdoches. This free family-friendly concert, sponsored by Rex Perry Autoplex, will feature three well-known musical acts, Catahoula Drive, The Baker Family and Little Roy and Lizzy, as well as a special appearance by up-and-coming group the Gent Mountain Grassburs, who are sure to make you smile!<br/><br/>The concert also will feature food trucks and vendors. Organizers encourage attendees to bring blankets and lawn chairs. The event is family-friendly, so please leave your coolers and alcohol at home. Pets on a leash are also welcome.<br/><br/>Parking will be available downtown. In 2020, cancellations and postponements of events in East Texas were the norm. In 2021, hopefully we re turning the corner of getting some of our live events and festivals back on the schedule again. With that being said, the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce is happy to report that the 31st Texas Blueberry Festival presented by Tipton Ford-Lincoln is a go for 2021.
