Still going strong more than two years on from its initial launch, today Apex Legends is hosting another big event as part of its Season 8 content series. The new additions, which we’ve already seen some Patch Notes for, will sit under the catchy title of the Chaos Theory Collection Event.

The developers from Respawn Entertainment explained in a blog post that “the Chaos Theory Collection Event brings a rewards track with all-new earnable cosmetics, this time including legendary Kraber and EVA-8 weapon skins among the goodies.” There will also be bug fixes, nerfs and heaps of new content that coincides with this event.

World of Warcraft fans take their allegiances to the Horde or the Alliance so seriously that they ve been known to accuse Blizzard developers of showing favoritism to one of the two perpetually warring factions. So when Hearthstone s next expansion Forged in the Barrens was announced at BlizzConline, the developers were quick to promise that the Alliance would also get a set focused on them. The Barrens just seemed like a great place to start, said associate game designer Cora Georgiou. It s not that we have any bias towards the Horde or the Alliance. The Barrens is such a really great place to level early on as a new character in the Horde. It was really important to us that this year really start at the basics.
The announcement that the Anniversary Collection Event is coming to Apex Legends has finally dropped. After accidentally going live too early on launch, and then being quickly patched out of the game, players weren’t sure on the exact release schedule for the event, but all became clear in the brand-new Anniversary Collection Event launch trailer today.
The trailer featured an excited Mirage trying to reflect on the time everyone has spent in the Apex Games together over the last two years, but was hacked (and relentlessly teased) by Crypto, who showed off a bunch of the content that the new event is adding to the game.
