Developing this morning in Iowa City Police are looking for more information after a man approached a young girl walking home from school and offered to give her a ride home. Home. The 9yearold was walking home from Lemme Elementary School along washingtion street around 4 thirty tuesday. The girl told police she was on the phone with her mother at the time and ran to a nearby church. Church. Officers were not able to find the suspect. A 7yearold waterloo boy is in the hospital this morning after being hit by a pick up truck last night. Night. It happened on westeleventh street. Waterloo police say the boy was unconscious when they arrived. The boy was first taken to Covenant Medical Center and then flown to iowa City Hospitals with life threatening injuries.
