There can be conviction even on the basis of circumstantial evidence

Dear PAO,My brother-in-law s laptop was stolen. He saved up for it for many months while working as a call center agent on graveyard shift. He intended to use that laptop for both work and school, as he enrolled in online classes with the goal of getting a college diploma. He has a suspect― the boy helper of his neighbor. He has no direct evidence, but from the pieces of evidence he has gathered, he really believes that said helper was the one who took his laptop. His friend said that he could still file a case even with just circumstantial evidence. Is that really possible?Benita
