AHMM has revealed plans to strip back, overhaul and extend the former Debenhams department store in London’s Oxford Street
The project will retain the existing 1970s building’s concrete structure, introduce new façades and add three storeys, including roof terraces.

Seven years ago the store, which occupies an entire city block at 334 Oxford Street, was given a £40 million makeover by NORR and artist Ned Khan, which featured an overcladding system made of 187,000 aluminium shingles.

BRIDGEPORT In a rare two-to-one decision, a three-judge panel found a local woman guilty of conspiring with two men to kill her husband in 2019.
“I’ve cried everyday since my son was killed but today, I can finally say justice was served,” said Tammy Pendergrass-Green, the mother of Dathan “Daedae” Gray.
Larise King, 36, showed no emotion as she sat at the defense table as the verdict was announced by Superior Court Judge Tracy Lee Dayton. Her family, who had sat in the back of the courtroom since the trial began last Tuesday, were quickly ushered out of the courthouse by judicial marshals.

BRIDGEPORT The state’s first criminal trial since the pandemic shut down criminal trials in March 2020 appeared to get off without a hitch Tuesday.
Larise King, 36, on trial before a three-judge panel, is accused of hiring a relative to kill her husband in 2019.
Superior Court Judge Earl Richards, the presiding judge on the panel, opened the trial by going over the precautions that were in place to ensure the safety of participants.
