LINDSEY WASSON/Reuters Boeing officials inappropriately influenced government test pilots as they were testing the company s 737 Max plane before recertifying it for flight, Senate investigators said in a report Friday.  The investigators said the FAA failed to provide proper oversight of Boeing and Southwest Airlines, potentially putting passengers at risk as a result.

LINDSEY WASSON/Reuters Airlines are responding to customer skepticism over the Boeing 737 Max by offering free flight changes and trip cancellations to those seeking to avoid it. The four US airlines that plan to operate the Max in 2021 have all said they ll work with passengers, despite praising the aircraft s efficiency and safety.  At least for the time being, there s very little reason that anybody who doesn t want to fly on a Boeing 737 Max should be flying on a Boeing 737 Max.
