Mayan Children’s Handprints Found in a Mexican Cave – Archeologists believe that the 137 handprints discovered in a Mexican cave were likely made by adolescent children some 1,200 years ago as part of a coming-of-age ritual. According to experts, the black handprints may represent death and the red handprints, life or war, as the boys were of hunting age and the girls were of childbearing age. (
