Inward investment agency Locate in Kent has revived its support service to SMEs, offering free expert support to help them through the challenges posed by the lockdown.
The Future Forward business recovery service will last six to eight weeks and help firms across Kent and Medway create a business plan and vision to grow during the year ahead.

All qualifying businesses will receive 12 hours of free consultancy, delivered by a team of Locate in Kentâs business advisors and industry experts who work alongside each company to review key aspects of their business operations â from financial planning and marketing opportunities to digital transformation and skills development.

Plans to redevelop a âtime bombâ former asbestos factory have been approved despite concerns from villagers it will bring the road infrastructure to its knees and put lives at risk.
The systematic redevelopment of the Nuralite industrial estate in Canal Road, Higham, was approved at a meeting of Gravesham councilâs planning committee.

Remediation of the centuries-old asbestos landfill, identified in council reports as a public health hazard, will see materials imported to cap and remove areas of hydrocarbon pollution, as well as the laying of new service and utility infrastructure.

A father and son from Tunbridge Wells have created a baked goods delivery service - and their fortunes are on the rise.
Terry Goh, 56, a former boss at product development in BT and son Edward, 23, a history graduate, deliver cakes, bread, sausage rolls and more from four bakeries in the Tunbridge Wells area, to doorsteps in the borough.

Mr Goh game up with the idea during the first lockdown while waiting in a queue outside Paxtol Village Bakery for 40 minutes for his favourite farm house loaf, only to find it was sold out.
