Coronation Street character Mike Baldwin, has died at age 85. The Battersea-born actor passed away after a lengthy illness, his family said. We politely ask for privacy at this time, so that we can quietly grieve as a family and remember the wonderful times we had with him, the Briggs family said in a statement. Those connected with the British soap opera, on which Johnny thrilled viewers with his portrayal of cigar-loving factory boss Mike, were quick to pay tribute to the star.
