Cabinet body considers many legal drafts Lahore May 25, 2021 LAHORE:The 60th meeting of the cabinet committee on legislative business was held at Civil Secretariat here on Monday under the chairmanship of Punjab Law and Cooperatives Minister Raja Basharat. The meeting considered many legal amendments and drafts of various departments. Legal proposals agreed upon by the committee included draft amendments to the Punjab Factories Act 2019, Punjab Hotels and Restaurant Rules 2021, draft of Punjab Tourist Guide Rules 2021 and draft of Punjab Travel Agencies Rules 2021. The committee directed the secretary Local Government to nominate a resident of Bahawalpur Division instead of Lahore for a vacant seat on the board of Bahawalpur Waste Management Company.

Leaders in the state’s restaurant industry are hopeful as thousands of New York eateries, diners and bars can pre-register this weekend to apply for up to $10 million in federal aid to assist with economic hardships due to the coronavirus pandemic. Businesses can apply for up to $10 million through the American Rescue Plan’s $28 billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund. Pre-registration is currently available through the Small Business Association’s online portal. More than 50,000 people pre-registered within the first two hours of the site going live Friday. $28.6-bln Restaurant Revitalization Fund Launched WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - A $28.6 billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) has been launched under the federal relief program by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and it has begun accepting grant applications to help put tens of thousands of restaurants on a long path to recovery, according to a statement by the National Restaurant Association or NRA. The fund will be administered by the SBA. The new funding was created in just two months under the federal relief program by the SBA. This fund will help the hardest hit small and medium-sized restaurants kickstart their recovery.
