Union Home Minister lauds Yediyurappa’s leadership in fighting the pandemic
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday lauded Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa’s leadership in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and said the BJP government in State would complete its full term in office.
Mr. Shah said the BJP government would complete the full term and the party would come to power again after the 2023 Assembly elections in the State. The Opposition Congress need not have doubts about the completion of the term by the BJP government, he said.

‘Police will respond openly to concerns on drugs, ragging, and issues of students’
While stating his commitment to bring the city police closer to people, new Police Commissioner N. Shashi Kumar on Friday said the city police will firmly deal with all illegal activity, including illegal sand extraction.
Talking to reporters after taking charge from Vikash Kumar Vikash, Mr. Kumar said he and his staff members will respond openly to concerns related to drugs, ragging, and other issues of students, who are in good number in Mangaluru.

Imphal (Manipur) [India], December 20 (ANI): An Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) was launched at the State Police Control Room at 1st Battalion Manipur Rifles complex, Imphal on Saturday.
ERSS, which seeks to enable a pan-India, single, internationally recognized number 112 based emergency response mechanism was inaugurated by Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
Taking to Twitter, Singh tweeted: Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) is launched today at the Manipur Police Control Room at 1st Bn. Manipur Rifles complex. ERSS is the vision of Govt. of India to launch an integrated emergency response system with a single emergency number 112 #Dial 112 for all emergencies. (ANI)
