Recruit a new generation of farmers and ranchers, then we must take actions that will improve the quality of life in Rural Communities. Thats why why i offered a number of provisions specifically to recruit beginning farmers and ranchers. The first would reduce the cost of Crop Insurance for beginning farmers by 10 . The second would make it easier for beginning producers to graze livestock on conservation reserve programs. In this bill we put in place a new Dairy Program that helps Dairy Farmers in minnesota and across the country that have struggled with prices, with feed costs and we have seen probably that sector of the Agriculture Community hit harder than any other. Crops have had their droughts, weve seen wet springs that have hurt many of our farmers. Weve seen the blizzard i mentioned in south dakota that killed our cattle.
