Starwood Hotels & Resorts Hawaii hires Marsha Wienert as PR executive
Marsha Wienert, who was the state’s first tourism liaison, has taken as job with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Hawaii as regional director of public relations. She will be responsible for all aspects of public relations including campaign development and implementation, crisis communication and public affairs.
Wienert was executive director of the Maui Visitors Bureau, working closely with Linda Lingle when she was mayor of Maui. When Lingle was elected governor, she chose Wienert as her link to the visitor industry.
