Scientists currently use various optical imaging and sensing systems to observe and measure the Earth and the universe. Designing optical systems for satellites and spacecraft, however, is challenging since the components and systems must face the harsh and remote conditions of space.
A variant of Resolve Optics’ Model 357 non-browning zoom lens has been developed for DEKRA Visatec GmbH for use on its VT XLRAD-10 PTZ camera, allowing a powerful new radiation-resistant inspection system to be offered.
