Students launch Anti-GBV mobile application

March 17, 2021 Written by Ernest Jjingo With an aim of increasing access to post Gender Based Violence (GBV) services for adolescent girls and young women, a group of students from Makerere University under Resilient Africa Network have launched a mobile application that will enable victims to access post gender-based violence services. According to Arafat Kabugo one of the innovators, “Centres4Her” is an innovative digital platform on smartphones that links GBV survivors to the nearest service point within a 10km radius from where they are. “This application can be downloaded free of charge from Google play store can be helpful to those in need of services,” he said.
