Chancellor Rishi Sunak will reportedly extend the stamp duty holiday until the end of June. The property tax cut was due to end on March 31, leaving many house buyers on a “cliff edge”. Reports of an extension could see up to 234,000 buyers, who have already agreed a sale, exempt from paying SDLT.
