The Brown-affiliated health-care system is one of about 115 sites in the United States and Mexico participating in the trial, which began at the end of December. “Lifespan has been gearing up for this for months,” Lifespan president and CEO Dr. Timothy J. Babineau said during an online media briefing Thursday. He was joined by Dr. Karen Tashima, director of clinical trials at the Lifespan Immunology Center, and Lifespan Vice President of Research Michael Henderson, who called the Novavax trial “exciting.”
