Milica received a Ph.D. in Life sciences from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. During her postdoctoral training at Yale University, she investigated gene profiles associated with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis and in parallel served as a venture creation consultant for Yale Entrepreneurial Institute. She won the Blavatnik Fellowship for Entrepreneurship in Life Sciences from Yale. During her tenure at Yale, she worked closely with Blavatnik Fund for Innovation at Yale and supported several successful fundraising opportunities for pilot and development projects.
Currently, Milica is a Post-doctoral Fellow (Hirota Lab) and an Innovation and commercialization consultant at the Research Institute of St Joe s in Hamilton. She also works as a Health Innovation Coach for The Clinic at McMaster University to develop business strategies for translational research and early-stage drug and technology commercialization projects surrounding lung, liver, and kidney diseases.
