A ward boy of a government hospital in Bhopal was arrested last month after he allegedly raped a coronavirus patient who died the next day. The ward boy was arrested, produced before the court and sent to jail the next day. The woman who died was a survivor of the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy.

Varanasi : , May 4 (IANS) The Varanasi district administration has ordered a probe into the death of the daughter of celebrated Hindustani classical singer and Padma Vibhushan awardee Pandit Chhannulal Mishra.
The probe has been ordered following allegations of medical negligence in her Covid treatment at a private hospital in the district.
According to reports, Mishra s daughter Sangeeta died during treatment at Medwin Hospital and Research Centre on April 29, while his wife Manorama Devi passed away earlier that week after developing breathing problems.
Sangeeta s elder sister, Namrata, has levelled allegations of medical negligence against the hospital.

President of Daskhina Kannada Congress Committee K. Harish Kumar, MLC, has tested positive for COVID-19. He is being treated at a private hospital.
Mr. Kumar told
The Hindu that he developed diarrhoea during election campaigning in North Karnataka and got himself tested for COVID-19 in Bidar on April 12, which turned out to be negative.
He took treatment for diarrhoea. After he returned to the city from campaigning, he felt exhausted and got himself admitted to AJ Hospital and Research Centre on April 16. The COVID-19 test in the hospital confirmed the infection, he said.
