Two Republicans will challenge two Democratic incumbents for two available three-year terms on the Keyport Borough Council.
The seats currently held by Democrats Dennis Fotopoulos and Matthew Goode will be on the ballot in the Nov. 2 election.
According to the Monmouth County Clerk’s Office, Republicans Rose Araneo and Ronald Peperoni are running to be elected to the terms, and Fotopoulos and Goode are seeking re-election. The new terms will run from Jan. 1, 2022 through Dec. 31, 2024.
An individual who wants to run for Borough Council as an independent candidate has until June 8 to file a nominating petition and secure a place on the November general election ballot.
