Advocates, faculty, and students from public institutions of higher learning from across the state gathered Tuesday at the state Capitol in protest of what they view as cuts by Gov. Ned Lamont, and to ask for Connecticut’s fiscal guardrails to be loosened.
Eversource and United Illuminating both petitioned Connecticut regulators for significant increases in the rates they may charge residents for electricity last week.
