All registrations deemed inactive and so legally qualified for removal will be listed for public review on a Registration Readiness roster posted to the Ohio Secretary of State's website.
Ohio's Republican Secretary of State Frank LaRose directed county election directors on Thursday to begin a “routine but enhanced” hunt through the voter rolls ahead of November’s election. He said the effort is legally mandated. The effort will target four specific areas: Unconfirmed changes of address, previously flagged records that remain in the system after the four-year waiting period, new registrations for which mailed confirmations were returned undeliverable, and ones where details don't match Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles records. Registrations deemed inactive will be posted to LaRose's website for public review before final removal, so issues can be addressed.
