During Thursday s Democratic convention, many who approached her asked her to run again, viewing her as the perfect candidate for the special election. She said yes.  Local 5 spoke with the candidate Monday. Adrian Dickey is the Republican candidate for the district. He has not responded to requests for an interview. Stewart views herself as someone who can work in a bipartisan fashion, should she make it Des Moines.

Hart made the announcement Tuesday morning. Hart s campaign claims two errors by state and county election officials resulted in the exclusion of at least 22 lawful ballots. Hart lost the race to Republican Marianette Miller-Meeks by six votes. The Hart campaign issued the challenge to the US House of Representatives based on allegations of uncounted, legal votes. The Miller-Meeks campaign has up to 30 days to file a response to the Hart campaign s challenge.

16 Dec 2020 Marc Elias, the Democrat lawyer behind the Russia “dossier” in 2016, and a slew of lawsuits to expand vote-by-mail in the 2020 presidential election, is involved in seven lawsuits regarding the rules for the Georgia Senate runoff to be held Jan. 5. Elias’s website, Democracy Docket, is a clearinghouse of information for fellow Democrats on current election litigation around the country. He lists five cases of interest in the runoff, which pits incumbent Republican Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler against Democratic challengers Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, respectively: RNC v. State Election Board: a Republican challenge demanding that poll watchers be allowed to observe voting and counting, and opposing the use of ballot “drop boxes” or, if they are used, demanding access to surveillance videos.
