Computer and information technology jobs are growing faster than most other occupations in the United States.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics forecasts an 11% growth in tech jobs from 2019 to 2029. In addition, the median annual wage of $91,250 in those fields is more than double the U.S. median annual salary of $41,950.
Amazon has located a major operations center in Nashville. Oracle may be coming to Middle Tennessee for the largest jobs deal in state history. In addition, major employers from Memphis to Knoxville to Chattanooga whether in logistics, automotive or health care industries are increasingly becoming more tech-focused.
