Four of these candidates are profoundly impressive in their qualifications for this type of work. But there is a problem and that is with public process. Its vital to remember that the reason we made sure that some of us fought so hard to make sure that neighborhood representatives were on this commission is that that is right of pa process of appointing them was supposed to entail going to those neighborhoods in depth and getting their input on who these appointees should be. For this to be noticed a few days ago at holiday time is very problematic to that process.
