TPPF: Bill to End Energy Discrimination Sent to Governor’s Desk May 30, 2021 Share A top legislative priority of the Texas Public Policy Foundation has passed the House and Senate with a strong bipartisan majority and awaits Governor Abbott’s signature. Senate Bill 13 will prohibit companies that boycott fossil fuels from doing business with the State of Texas. “Wall Street banks and investment firms are colluding to deny critical financing to the energy producers we all rely on threatening Texas jobs, our economy, our energy independence, and our quality of life,” said Jason Isaac, director of TPPF’s Life:Powered initiative. “Senate Bill 13 sends a clear message that we won’t stand for this energy discrimination campaign killing American jobs, driving up cost of living, and shifting energy production to unstable countries with poor environmental standards.”
