thank you. thank you. shannon: congressman shift, let s start with you there has been debate about the muslim brotherhood exactly what they are and who they represent. what s your take. i think we are right to be concerned about the muslim brotherhood. not just an issue of what they are now and how much influence they have in egypt now but rather how much influence they could have in the future. but, ewe shouldn t let that concern blind us to the very positive nature of what s happened here. we have potentially earth shaking event going on in egypt that could have profound repercussions in the arab world. more opportunity for people. more representative forms of government consistent with our own ideals. i don t think we should let that concern about the muslim brotherhood discourage from us supporting the egyptian people in their aspirations and others throughout the arab world. obviously we are going to want to encourage egypt in our relationship its military to make sure it
focused on trying to get the people of these countries it to be more supportive and more friendly to the u.s. it s important to have relationships with the governments in all those countries without question. part of what has sort of gotten us in trouble through the years is we have supported stability over the will of the people and countries like this. that makes sense. stability is important all across the world and middle east. you are seeing people powered movements in all these countries. all of the steps that we make, i hope secretary clinton and others will be mindful thousand appears to the people of turkey. to the people of jordan, to the people of egypt. and not just their government so we can begin to
schwabb shan here are some of the top stories we are following this hour on americans news headquarters a new era is underway in egypt. america s military rulers are meeting some of the demands of government protesters. they dissolved the parliament and suspended the constitution. the military is urging protesters now to leave tahrir square and to return to normal life. president obama will roll out its 2012 budget tomorrow it is expected to include some spending cuts along with some targeted spending and tax increases. the president s proposal will likely launch a war with republicans over how much to cut and where. and those ugly cell phone towers could soon be a thing of the past. the wireless industry is looking at a much smaller alternative atten in as small enough to fit in your hand, be placed on lampposts, utility polls and buildings. developers are hoping the technology fewer dead spots and faster data speeds. the technology will be demoed tomorrow at the world s largest cell
