The Harford County Delegation opted to table for one week voting on an amendment to a bill that seeks to change the makeup of the county’s Board of Education from elected and appointed members to a fully elected board.
Harford County schools’ superintendent said staff will work through the weekend to adjust its return plan to start bring students back for in-person instruction after the governor and state superintendent called on all Maryland school systems to have kids in classrooms by March.
About 140 parents and children gathered in front of the Harford County Public Schools headquarters in frigid temperatures Monday night, imploring HCPS officials to reopen schools that have been closed for in-person instruction for much of the first semester.
