The two-day trial for Brian Treaster before District Judge Trish Rose wrapped up Tuesday afternoon.
The jury returned Wednesday morning and deliberated about 90 minutes before returning guilty verdicts on felony counts of stalking and criminal threat and misdemeanor counts of violation of a protection order and battery, said Reno County Deputy District Attorney Andrew Davidson.
Treaster was acquitted on two counts each of telephone harassment and disorderly conduct and a second count of violation of a PFA.
Rose set sentencing for June 4. The felony counts carry presumptive probation on the state sentencing grid.
The stalking and PFA charges stemmed from an April 18, 2019, incident when Treaster went to his ex-wife’s place of employment to confront her. He was still the chief at Bushton at the time.
