Eau Claire ends alternate side parking early

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WKBT) The city of Eau Claire has ended its alternate side parking early this year, rather than sticking with the restrictions until May 1.
Community Services Director Renee Tyler suspended the restrictions Wednesday due to the relatively mild winter, early spring and good long-range forecast.
Parking will now be permitted on both sides of the street until Nov. 1, except where marked.
The city has historically used parking restrictions in late winter and early spring to conduct city-wide street cleaning; however, it has finished that earlier than usual due to the mild weather.
