ST. LANDRY PARISH â A few teachers and staff members at Grand Prairie Elementary received a pie in the face all thanks to a student fundraiser.
Each year, students raise money to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This year they had a Pie in the Face Contest. Students raised money, casting votes on a lineup of four teachers, one of which would receive a pie in the face at the end of the fundraiser.
Votes came in for four staff members, Peggy Richard receiving 37 votes, Renee Suire receiving 71 votes, Brook Brown receiving 20 votes and Casey Ellis receiving 62 votes.
