Dollar Tree store gives new life to dead Pier 1 Imports in Wall
WALL - Dollar Tree, the discount store where everything costs a buck, will open a store on Route 35 in the next few months.
The store, located in the former Pier 1 Imports space at the Orchards at Wall shopping center, is projected to open sometime in the second quarter, according to R.J. Brunelli & Co., a retail commercial real estate brokerage based in Old Bridge. It joins Via Veneto Ristorante and Pastosa Ravioli.
Already embattled and closing stores before the pandemic surge a year ago, Pier 1 filed for bankruptcy protection last spring and permanently shuttered its stores including the 9,460-square-foot store in Wall. Pier 1 also had locations in Ocean Township, Freehold Township, Holmdel, Howell, Toms River and Stafford.
