It is based on interviews with Shi’a Hazara refugees from Afghanistan and local, national and international providers of humanitarian support in Pakistan.

On 5 and 6 July the UK Government hosts the International Ministerial Conference on the Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB). Aiming to “strengthen international efforts to ensure FoRB for all” it’s convening plenary and fringe events with international government ministers, faith leaders and civil society groups, including IDS and partners from the Coalition for Religious Equality and Inclusive Development (CREID).
This book is about the individual and collective struggles of the religiously marginalised to be recognised and their inequalities, religious or otherwise, redressed.
