Reliance Jio: With regards to the 5G phone, the publication while citing sources said that Jio is in a “wait and watch” mode, and will launch the fifth-generation connectivity-enabled device if there is a market gap, but the launch is unlikely to happen this year as Jio’s 5G network may not be widely available by then.
These Oppo devices can now support Reliance Jio True 5G across cities wherein the network is available. Oppo has promised that other 5G models will be enabled for standalone 5G network shortly.
The initial roll out will be limited to four cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. Reliance Jio users in these cities stand a chance to test out 5G in its full glory.
The government has ordered the launch of 5G services in India at the inauguration of the Indian mobile congress. The 5G network launch date in India is scheduled for September 29th, and telecom companies are gearing up to be the first 5G bands in India.
