that in these boxes were information regarding defense and weapons capabilities, nuclear programs, potential vulnerabilities of the u.s. and its allies and plans for possible retaliation. that s a lot of sensitive information. it s a lot of sensitive information that has relevance in the present time. i mean this is the difference between cases of, say, old historical documents. the information that we know right now is relevant to the united states standing and our national security for two reasons. one is and jack smith makes this absolutely clear in the first paragraph, our allies. our allies have a reliance interest on us as we do on them, that the information they share with us, whether it s through a mechanism of nato or whatever, that the intelligence shared amongst allies to protect ourselves against common en enemies, say russia, for example, will be protected, and
reassurance giving it a private setting that went beyond that. because i think every republican appointee sort of says basically the same thing about roe v. wade. one of the things that i found puzzling about the decision is, the courts seemed to say, when you look at factors about why you would overturn precedent, and why you would sort of disregard this legal concept called stare decisis, one of the things you look at what is called reliance interest. has the countries relied on this decision, and the supreme court says it is not enough of adult reliance in roe v. wade. i find it a little puzzling given that millions of american women who basically let their lives on the assumption that the right to abortion would be there. you would think that there was heavy reliance. but the majority says no. and if you ve been pointing out, this is the first time in american history that the court has taken away a constitutional right once conferred. because they re a lot of things that were no
