Consumers Energy officials announced Monday they will be working to improve their power grid's reliability and cut back on restoration times in the future.
Consumers Energy has unveiled what utility officials say are aggressive goals to deliver a stronger and more resilient grid in the wake of increased public and regulatory criticism of the state’s electric reliability.
Consumers Energy says its Reliability Roadmap is a plan to ensure no more than 100,000 customers lose power during outages and no one is without power for longer than 24 hours.
