April 28 (UPI) Britain s Electoral Commission has launched a formal investigation into how Prime Minister Boris Johnson funded renovations to his apartment, the funding watchdog announced Wednesday.
The Electoral Commission said in a statement that there are reasonable grounds to suspect that an offense or offenses may have occurred in the funding of renovations to Johnson s home on 11 Downing Street.

Feb. 22 (UPI) The International Atomic Energy Agency announced it has reached a temporary deal with Iran for its inspectors to maintain access to monitor nuclear activity in the country, potentially creating the conditions to restart nuclear-accord negotiations between the United States and the Middle Eastern nation.
Rafael Mariano Grossi, the director general of the IAEA, told reporters Sunday that they have reached a technical agreement with Iranian officials to continue nuclear verification and monitoring activities.

Feb. 22 (UPI) Protesters took to the streets throughout Myanmar on Monday despite the country s military junta warning it would escalate violence if demonstrations turned into a general strike as planned.
Large crowds rallied in Yangon, Naypyidaw, Mandalay and other cities in continued opposition to the military coup that usurped government control and jailed activists and civilian leaders, including Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, on Feb. 1, The Guardian reported.
