Malaysia's furniture exports recorded a sharp increase of 18% in the first seven months of 2022 as compared to the same period last year, despite many challenges facing the industry, the Malaysian Furniture Council (MFC) has said.
Malaysia's January-July 2022 furniture exports have recorded an increase versus a year ago despite the many challenges facing the industry, the Malaysian Furniture Council (MFC) said. Its president Khoo Yeow Chong told Bernama at the Reka Interiors Exhibition (RiX) 2022 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on Thursday that total overall furniture exports, including wooden furniture, stood at RM8.5 billion against RM7.2 billion for the same period in 2021.
