South Shore Reindeer Quest Allows You to Log Some Family Time
SouthCoast families are looking to get out of their homes, and the South Shore Trustees reservation is a perfect option. They’ve put together Reindeer Quest.
This is a self-guided scavenger hunt spanning five properties: the World’s End, Whitney & Thayer Woods and Weir River Farm in Hingham; the Norris Reservation in Norwell; and Two-Mile Farm in Marshfield. You’re looking for reindeer on vacation after a hard-working Christmas holiday. It’s your job to find each one vacationing in its natural habitat and score a family selfie. Once done, take some time to choose the perfect filter, and use the hashtags #SSreindeerquest and #thetrustees to be entered to win the top prize.
Francis William Bird Park to host Reindeer Quest free program

The Trustees will host a month-long Reindeer Quest free program from dawn to dusk Dec. 5 to Jan. 3 at Francis William Bird Park, 135 Polley Lane, East Walpole.
Residents can get the family outside to seek out the four wooden reindeer sculptures hidden in Bird Park. Residents can see if they can find “Charlie,” “Anna,” “Billy,” and “Birdy” and leave a bell around the neck of the first one spotted. This is a free, self-guided program. Bells can be found by the Bird Park Office near the maintenance area, behind white house, park side. Registration is not required.
