Daniel Kiefer Daniel Kiefer, 84, passed away Feb. 27, 2021 in Fargo surrounded by his family. Mass of Christian burial will be held 9 a.m. Thursday, March 4 at Church of Corpus Christi, 1919 N 2nd St, Bismarck. A service livestream will be available at the time of the service. Daniel was born on Aug. 13, 1936 to Frank and Eugenia (Fischer) Kiefer in rural Hague. He worked on the farm until he enlisted in the Army from 1955-1957 and was stationed at Ft. Benning, Georgia. (AP) North Dakota’s presidential electors on Monday officially awarded the state’s three electoral votes to President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence. The state’s three electors Sandy Boehler of Fargo, Robert Wefald of Bismarck and John Trandem of Reiles Acres met in the Capitol building’s Prairie Room on Monday in one of the final steps of the 2020 presidential election. The three electors, as well as state officials administering the ceremony, wore masks and sat spaced apart during the live-streamed ceremony. “The gravity of this moment should inspire and remind us how fortunate we are to live in the land of the free and the home of the brave,” Republican Gov. Doug Burgum said during the ceremony.

KVRR Local News December 13, 2020 BISMARCK, N.D. There is a last minute replacement among North Dakota Electors who will formally cast their ballots for President and Vice President on Monday. John Trandem of Reiles Acres will replace state Senator Ray Holmberg who recused himself because of COVID-19 quarantine. The other electors are Sandy Boehler of Fargo and Robert Wefald of Bismarck. They will meet at 1 tomorrow afternoon in the Capitol’s Prairie Room in one of the final steps of the 2020 Presidential election. Governor Doug Burgum will be chairman for the meeting while Secretary of State Al Jaeger administers the voting.
