A third-floor balcony collapsed at 4 Read Ave. in Dewey Beach just before 5 p.m., May 31, injuring two people, Dewey Beach Police Sgt. Cliff Dempsey said. Two Ohio women, ages 47 and 57, stepped out onto the balcony when it collapsed for unknown.

Tanger Outlets in Rehoboth Beach recently showed thanks and support to the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company by presenting a check for $1,500 during a brief ceremony Dec. 7.
