In Rehoboth, masks still required, playgrounds still closed

The reintroduction of musical acts at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand this summer is an indication that life is slowly returning to normal. However, things are not fully back to normal, and city commissioners recently spent time discussing how masks are still required in all public spaces and that the city’s playgrounds are still closed. Commissioner Richard Byrne brought up the subject during the commissioner comment portion of an April 5 workshop. He said he had received a number of constituent complaints about visitors who weren’t wearing masks, adding that he had seen the city’s playgrounds were being used frequently.

Tips to secure your moped during rash of thefts in Rehoboth area

The rate of moped thefts at the Delaware beaches seems to be climbing with the temperature. Delaware State Police Troop 7 said they began seeing a spike in moped thefts in the area of Coastal Highway in Rehoboth Beach mid-March. They re such a fun and easy way to get around, it s not hard to forget how valuable mopeds are and leave them inadequately secured.  As the weather gets warmer and the number of people at the beach increases, Delaware State Police are offering the following tips to help owners prevent moped thefts: When dismounting your moped, always turn it off and remove the ignition key, even if you plan to remain close by or only be gone a minute or two. Moped engines aren t very loud, making them easier to be stolen undetected.
