ISLAMABAD: Eight more people lost their life to Covid-19 in the twin cities - four each in Islamabad and Rawalpindi - with 674 new cases in the capital and 259 in the garrison city on Friday.
Officials of the capital administration said six deaths were also reported in the city on Thursday.
On Friday, the death of two women in the age group of 50-59, one man in the age group of 80-89 and another in the age group of 90-99 was reported in the capital. They were residents of G-10, F-6, Rawal Town and B-17.During the last 24 hours, 8,711 tests were conducted out of which 404 males and 270 females tested positive. The positivity rate was 7.73 per cent.
