April 19, 2021 There are many perceptions about Covid-19. We try to cope with it the best we can. The pandemic hit the world like a deadly hurricane, and countries, like ours, were not prepared with sufficient logistics, facilities, skills and expertise of the health force, among so many others.
Our country, compared with fully developed nations, is struggling to make both ends meet. Sad to say, we don’t have enough experienced scientists, fully equipped hospitals in the barangays, doctors and nurses, and team players to cope with the surging expanse of Covid-19.
My students see some intervening factors like divisive politics, economics and not sustainable community initiatives. They wish leaders will be more proactive than mere reactive.
