More rehab hospitals popping up in Ohio, nationwide

MIAMISBURG A new, $18 million post-acute rehabilitation hospital is coming to Miamisburg, part of trend seen in Ohio and nationwide, experts said.
Post Acute Medical got approved this month to construct the 42-bed rehab hospital. The 46,000-square-foot facility is projected to start construction in March and be completed and opened in March 2022.
And some of them are growing out of partnerships between hospitals and rehab providers. The Rehabilitation Institute of Ohio, a joint business venture between Dayton-based Premier Health and Encompass Health, opened in May at 835 S. Main St., across from the Miami Valley Hospital campus.
